  10. AppleLink® CD is an information resource product on CD-ROM.  It
  11. provides regular editions of Apple and third-party product and support
  12. information for a single annual subscription fee.
  13.  
  14. Designed to offer the same easy access to information provided by
  15. AppleLink, Apple’s global electronic communications and information
  16. service, each edition of AppleLink CD features the latest versions of many
  17. AppleLink libraries and bulletin boards.  Product and program information
  18. for Apple and third-party companies is included, along with software
  19. upgrades, documentation updates, and product enhancements.  You can
  20. sample software demos and review new software programs.  What’s more, the
  21. CD-ROM format permits Apple to extend the robust foundation of AppleLink
  22. content with information added exclusively for AppleLink CD users.

  24. In contrast to traditional on-line services, AppleLink CD lets you use
  25. your Apple Macintosh® computer to explore information and retrieve large
  26. documents without incurring on-line charges. Those who rely heavily on
  27. accurate Apple support information can search and browse as long as
  28. necessary without additional usage charges, and a multi-user version
  29. of AppleLink CD can be placed on a LAN as a shared volume, allowing
  30. additional users to share the information.
